Is that the Turkish flag rotated for effect?
There really isn’t such a thing as an “Islamic Flag” but a lot of Islamic countries do use the crescent moon and star in their flags (Pakistan, Mauritania, Tunisia etc)
The two logos do look a bit similar but to say that they are like the “Islamic Flag” is a bit of a stretch of the imagination. You might as well say the Twitter logo looks like the flag of Palau..!

Either yes, it’s a deliberate morphing of Obama’s compaign sigil at least and perhaps a bit of the symbol often used to represent Islam, OR someone is suffering from cranio-rectal disease (head stuffed ... well, you know) and threw this together thinking it looked nice.
Is it just me, or should symbols for something like Missile Defense look a wee bit more .. I don’t know .. aggressive, maybe? Wait, I forgot, we’re back in the Jimmy Carter era. {palms forehead}
In any event we have a US agancy whose symbol is either an inappropriate tribute to Obama and/or Islam or just someone without a clue in charge of design. Neither should be the case.
Thus, we better take control of Congress this year ... for we might not get another chance.
